Instruction for presenters

The following instructions for presenters are applicable in HistoCrypt 2018 Conference. Please do not hesitate to contact the program chair or the local organizers if you require additional information to prepare for the conference.

The main hall is equipped with a laptop computer and a data projector. The computer used for presentation will have wired internet. You are also welcome to use your own laptop. HDMI is provided. Please make sure to bring adapter cable if you do not have any HDMI port on your laptop.

Please arrive at your session at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your session; you should introduce yourself to the session chair and check that your presentation can be displayed properly in your session room.

Long talks are allotted 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Please ensure that your presentation does not exceed 15 minutes in length. The required format is pdf or powerpoint (pptx/ppt). Your presentation should highlight the problem(s) addressed by your research, describe the approach/methodology used to address these problems, discuss evaluation of your results, and compare your work to other relevant research (if applicable).

Poster presentations will be held in the lobby. The space available for your poster will be 90 cm wide and 125 cm high, which is (a little more than) A0 in portrait orientation. Try to use visual aids like figures, diagrams, cartoons, colors on your poster to show the research idea and the logical flow of the contents. It might be helpful to prepare mini-talks from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to explain the content of your work. Please avoid leaving your poster without a presenter during the allotted poster session.

For software demonstrations, we will provide a table with a chair, an electric outlet (220/230 V), a poster easel (usable board area 90cm x 125cm), and WiFi. It might be helpful to prepare mini-talks from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to explain the content of your work. Please avoid leaving your demo without a presenter during the demo session.

Please check the conference website for the exact time allocation for your presentation (see http://histocrypt.org -> Program) which will be available in the beginning of June (at latest).
